The Great Foundations Program is working hard to improve the financial wellbeing of people living in the Denmark Area. Some of our projects so far include the newly established Repair Café at the CRC which includes a discussion space for conversations about personal finance and common challenges as well as information seminars on MyGov for year 12 students at the Denmark High School.
Our focus is now shifting to Families with children and activities planned include a low cost cooking challenge and a cloth nappy making workshop, as two ways to save money. We would like to make sure that we are on the right track in helping families improve their financial capability and invite you to a focus group to get your input into what financial issues are important to you and possible solutions that would work for you.
Please join us at the Denmark Community Resource Centre, in the Garden Room on Monday 14th September, from 10 to 12 noon, enjoy a yummy morning tea and let us know what financial issues matter most to you. A creche will be available if booked in advance.
RSVP to Von Quinn on 0429 409 1222 or secretary@dcfwa.org.au
The Great Foundations Workshop Series is presented by the Denmark Community Foundation and made possible by a grant from the Ecstra Foundation.
