The Denmark Community Fund

Your gift can support our community for generations to come through a range of flexible giving options.

You can make a donation through a gift of cash, shares, bonds or any other asset. This gift can be made during your lifetime or left to the Foundation in your will (as a bequest). Donations can be made immediately as a ‘one-off’, set up at recurring intervals or spread over a defined period of time.

Tell us about what you’d like to see funded in the community, whether it be grants that assist our community groups, support services for seniors or you could even start your own sub-fund!

You can make a donation using our secure facility below and your receipt will be automatically emailed to you.

What's a Sub-Fund?

A sub-fund can be established in your name (or that of a loved one) with an inital, minimum deposit of $2,000. This fund can receive additional contributions from yourself, friends and family and if it’s for a charitable purpose then all funds donated are tax-deductible.

What do you mean by 'Charitable Purpose'?

The Charities Act 2013 (Cth) lists 12 charitable purposes:

  • advancing health
  • advancing education
  • advancing social or public welfare
  • advancing religion
  • advancing culture
  • promoting reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance between groups of individuals that are in Australia
  • promoting or protecting human rights
  • advancing the security or safety of Australia or the Australian public
  • preventing or relieving the suffering of animals
  • advancing the natural environment
  • promoting or opposing a change to any matter established by law, policy or practice in the Commonwealth, a state, a territory or another country (where that change furthers or opposes one or more of the purposes above), and
  • other similar purposes ‘beneficial to the general public’ (a general category).

Charitable Purposes are explained in more detail on the ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission) website.

Can I cancel or change a recurring donation?

Absolutely. We understand circumstances may change and there is no long term commitment on your part.

You are 100% free to change anything you like, any time at all.

Simply contact us with what you’d like to do (e.g. cancel the the recurring donation, change the amount or change which fund it points to) and we’ll do the rest.
