The Denmark bushfire in February 2022 was a wake-up call reminding us that our beautiful, small town needs to be bushfire ready. This is why a group of locals came together to create The Denmark Fire Day Fund and its advisory Committee.
Who does this fund support?
This fund helps the whole of the Denmark community to be bushfire ready.
What support does this fund provide?
Your gift will go towards local, Denmark-specific initiatives that aid bushfire preparation and firefighting, such as the Bushfire Ready Weekend and helping residents install red tubes at the entries to their properties. These tubes contain maps and vital information that enable firefighters to safely enter properties and buildings.

Yes, donations to this fund are tax deductible. Â
What administration fees are deducted from my gift?
As Denmark Community Foundation is run by volunteers and doesn’t have any large overheads (such as rent), 97.5% your gifts after any credit card processing fees go towards helping the Denmark community be bushfire ready.
