Denmark Hardship Fund

Sadly Denmark is not immune from homelessness or the cost-of-living crisis. People in our community are living rough, facing homelessness or are in financial crisis. Fortunately, there are some caring locals and organisations who are following Hazel Moon’s legacy and are providing assistance to those most in need. Your gift to this fund will help them provide this helping hand.

Who does this fund support?

The Denmark Hardship Fund supports those in the Denmark community who are finding it difficult to meet their basic physical needs (food, safety and shelter) or are facing homelessness.

What support does this fund provide?

Denmark Community Foundation partners with Homeless Project Denmark and the Denmark Community Resource Centre to provide emergency relief for those facing hardship and homelessness. Your gift will help provide assistance such as food vouchers, gas vouchers, firewood, toiletry kits, op-shop vouchers and materials to renovate old caravans.

Yes, donations to this fund are tax deductible.

What administration fees are deducted from my gift?

As Denmark Community Foundation is run by volunteers and doesn’t have any large overheads (such as rent), 100% of your gifts after any credit card processing fees go towards supporting those facing hardship and homelessness.
