The Denmark Fire Day Fund
GIVEN THE BUSHFIRE DENMARK EXPERIENCED IN FEBRUARY 2022, MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY HAVE DECIDED BUSHFIRE SAFETY IS A PRIORITY.
The Denmark Fire Day Fund Committee was established to make sure the Denmark community is more prepared for future fires.
This includes adding red tubes to local streets. These tubes will tell firefighters the access routes to each house and where the fusebox is, since firefighters cannot enter a burning building if the power is still on.
It also includes servicing a newly installed fire hydrant so that firetrucks can access the dam through a hydrant connection.
