Denmark Community Foundation welcomed the news of tax reforms that passed in early 2025.

The reforms offer a new ‘deductible gift recipient’ (DGR) category for community foundations in Australia, meaning it will it easier and more tax effective for people to support their local charitable foundation.

The Board of DCF are excited by the opportunities it will bring, with the reforms supporting a culture of generosity and ‘giving where you live’. We are working towards achieving the new DGR status in the second half of 2025, and look forward to being able to offer the people of Denmark more flexible and tax-deductible ways to give to the Foundation and help strengthen the Denmark community.
